Me

I am applying for your Graphic Design course because its my passion. I am always creating something or improving on my work to make it the best standard it can be. In the recent months I have began producing garment designs for my upcoming clothing line which started from a brief in my personal investigation unit for my Graphics Illustration coursework. Since I started I have sold a total of 80 t-shirts and I am currently planning new designs and have many ideas for other garments. Taking Graphic Design as a degree would help me improve my skills and learn new ways of creating.

First Advertisement for Clothing Brand

This is my first advertisement piece for my first design's crewneck jumper edition. I wanted to represent comfort and   imagination to promote values females are attracted to. Composition techniques used involve the rule of thirds, the combination of illustration and photograph and also a layout which easily loets the viewers eyes be guided throughout the image. Sales for this design ended up with 33 t-shirt sales and 2 jumper sales.

Owl Predator T-shirt Promotional Photograph

My first shirt's second female photoshoot out of the studio produced some very effective shots which could be used for future advertisements. This is one of them to show how the shirts came out.

The Beginning (Limited Edition) Design

My third design of the season represents the start of this side project. Sold as a limited edition design this only had 15 prints made and all were pre-ordered to guarantee a shirt.

Lizard Hunters Design

My second design for my clothing range started with two photos of different lizards at a zoo and the rough idea in my head of them combined into one design in the clean form of illustration. To contrast the neat line work and detail I used paint splatters to contrast the whole idea and displayed my brand name within the splats. 30 T-shirts and 2 Crew-neck Sweatshirts were sold.

Owl Predator Shirt Design

My first design for my clothing range began from a rough idea in my head into my sketchbook with pencil, this then developed into fine liner and finally I ran it through photoshop with a graphics tablet making sure every minimal detail was as sharp and accurate as it could be. My brand's logo is tangled into the owl's claws making a firm connection for the t-shirt idea.

Siamese Cat Portrait

During development of a range of designs I began for my future plans of creating a clothing range, I made a portrait of my cat done entirely on photoshop using soft, low opacity brushes on a high quality photo I took of her. Later on, I ended up using this piece in my personal investigation in my Unit 3 for Graphics Illustration.
